alcoHELP work in partnership with schools, the local police, councils and youth groups, providing children and young people with the facts about alcohol; its impact on the brain and the resulting effects on judgement, emotions, memory, balance, speech and anger levels. They are currently only active in Essex. However, the long term plan is to take their highly-successful programme into the neighbouring counties and ultimately to see it available across the UK.

The Challenge

alcoHELP required a number to support their credibility and encourage greater trust in their not-for-profit organisation. They wanted a cost-effective call solution with callers charged either a low call rate or free; hoping that people are more inclined to call, especially if people could only call from a mobile telephone. As their target audience is teenagers and young adults, alcoHELP wanted to give these young people no barriers in calling the charity for help and advice.

Calls made to an 0300 number are free and the number is not tied to a particular location, meaning that alcoHELP can have it for life, even if they relocate or just expand their organisation. Their 0300 number can be re-directed instantly to other landlines or mobiles through our online portal should anything unforeseen happen - keeping their lines open.

Results

alcoHELP have been extremely pleased with the results of their 0300 number and online Call Management. They have seen an increase in call volume and are able to evaluate the effectiveness of their number with access to up-to-date In-depth Call Analytics including length of call, number of calls, call patterns and call locations which help them manage staffing levels and understand if particular locations appear more vulnerable to alcohol problems.
