How Diverse Routing works
Primary (Main) Leased Lines, and Secondary (Back-up) Leased Lines offer the ultimate disaster recovery solution.
Complete Disaster Recovery resilience with an alternative routing path from a separate point in your office premises. The main and secondary connections work hand-in-hand with continuous monitoring checks between paths. The monitoring identifies issues instantly, and routing is switched from the main connection to the secondary connection at your business premise automatically, ensuring zero downtime and uninterrupted service for your mission-critical operations.

Primary Leased Lines, and a Secondary connection provides un-contended Diverse Routing between the office & your local telephone exchange. This dual-path architecture ensures your business maintains connectivity even if one route fails completely. Main and backup lines are provisioned from different physical routes, cabinets, and exchanges, providing true redundancy that eliminates single points of failure.
We endeavour to provide the highest quality of support with prioritised fix times & 24/7 monitoring, keeping your business running at all times. Our network operations center continuously monitors both connections, instantly detecting issues and alerting our technical team. Proactive monitoring means we often identify and resolve problems before they impact your service, with rapid response guaranteed through our SLA commitments.
The un-contented Leased Lines offer a 4 hour SLA fix time - Diverse Routing switches back from the secondary to the primary line instantly. When faults are detected on the primary connection, failover to the backup line happens automatically within seconds, ensuring zero downtime for your business operations. Once the primary line is restored, traffic seamlessly switches back without manual intervention or service disruption.
We offer the complete Disaster Recovery solution with auto-failover whenever line issues arise, so your service is constant and uninterrupted. Whether it's exchange failure, cable damage, power outages, or environmental disasters, your business maintains full connectivity. Diverse Routing protects against the unexpected, ensuring mission-critical operations continue without interruption regardless of infrastructure failures.
Leased Lines allow you to scale your bandwidth up or down depending on your business demands. Simply request more or less data on your line. Both primary and secondary connections can be upgraded independently to match growing requirements. Start with 100Mbps and scale to 10Gbps as your business expands, without changing infrastructure or experiencing downtime during bandwidth upgrades.
Central and rural town availability
Whether you're in a town or city, we can search for Leased Line availability in your area anywhere in the UK.
We can easily identify business internet availability within our postcode look-up and offer your business the right choice; ethernet and Leased Line options. Central locations typically have high availability with multiple exchange options for diverse routing, while rural areas may have limited but still viable connectivity solutions. Our team assesses your specific location and provides detailed availability reports with multiple routing options where possible.

Diverse Routing is the ultimate level of resilience, as there are multiple connectivity routes from the business premise to the exchange. The main goal with Diverse Routing is to ensure that the independent lines do not share the same path or underground ducting/cabinets. Should a line or exchange be impacted and an outage occurs, the Direct Routing connections play their role to ensure that an instant switch is made and the business continues transferring data and making calls without any interuptions.
Award winning call solutions
Tailor-picked solutions designed for small to medium-sized businesses
Web-based Call Management
Calls to your business number can be diverted to your target (landline or mobile) during your operational business hours. Once you have configured your 'in-hours', choose where you would like to divert calls 'outside of working hours'. If calls are not configured to be diverted outside working hours, then voicemail-to-email is activated, meaning that calls are always captured.
Open the Call Manager to access the time schedule and set business open hours. Calls received in-hours can be configured to route to any UK landline number (01/02) or UK mobile (07). Your call-forwarding changes are saved and active at the click of a button.
Calls received outside business hours can also be routed to phone or voicemail. Ensure that you can identify business calls when answering from a mobile or home phone outside of business hours.

Virtual Receptionist
More calls are being answered on mobile phones than ever before, a trend that's only growing with the rise of remote and home working. The mobile phone, with its portability and flexibility, is the perfect tool for handling calls on the move. When paired with the Virtual Receptionist, it provides users with a sense of security and peace of mind, knowing that every call is professionally introduced. The whisper message feature further enhances this, helping users distinguish between personal and business calls.
With the Virtual Receptionist, the caller will never hear your personal mobile voicemail message. It is less professional to hear "You are through to the Giff Gaff mobile voicemail" than "Thank you for calling Prime Roofing; please leave a message after the tone, and a team member will call you back within 24 hours." This helps with your brand image, giving the impression of a large, reputable, well-established business, boosting your confidence and credibility.
