We’re always looking to help businesses find new ways to enhance their performance, increase sales and boost communication. With the year now coming to an end, we wanted to explore some of the upcoming industry changes and how to overcome some of the potential roadblocks with opportunities to slingshot your business into 2022!
There’s a lot to think about when it comes to getting your business online, and you may find that looking for a business domain and setting up corporate email addresses can be a time-consuming and tedious task. But it doesn’t have to be…
Firstly, creating a professional business presence online is vital to business success. For example, if someone is looking for a plumber, they’re first option might be to perform a local Google search. Obviously, without a company domain or website, you’ll never be found this way, but even after this, one of the first things potential customers might subconsciously look for is someone with professional contact information, usually in the form of a business email address.
With many businesses now exploring flexible working and ways to enhance their internal communication, a business email is often not enough, and needs to be accompanied by software capable of file sharing, chat and video capabilities. Microsoft 365 is the perfect place to start, and our IT experts can arrange all of this for you.
Our Kickstart Business Packages are the perfect solution to removing the hassle of setting your business up online. We take the business weight off your shoulders by finding your perfect business web and email domain, migrating it to Microsoft 365, creating your website landing page and providing a secure online hosting service. Our specialists can even setup a Google My Business account to ensure you’re fully equipped to promote your business online using one, all-inclusive package. Packages start from just £9.99 per month.
As broadband services have evolved in reliability and speed over the past 10 years, the PSTN has grown to support this change using digital technology. However, this development has meant that traditional fixed phone lines are quickly becoming irrelevant, resulting in the complete termination of the traditional PSTN and ISDN networks.
VoIP Phone Systems have been in high demand over the past few years, and will soon be the only available solution to connecting your calls post-2025 when BT switch off the Public Switch Telephone Network. Hosted telephony, which can also be referred to as cloud telephony or hosted VoIP, is where a business phone system is hosted in the cloud with online access. With hosted telephony, it doesn’t matter where a phone actually is – a VoIP telephone can be used on any device where there is an internet connection including desk phones, computers or laptops and smartphones. This geographical independence means that achieving business continuity and having a disaster recovery solution is possible – without additional cost.
The main advantage of VoIP is that it's the cheaper option for phone calls. But another key benefit is being able to combine phone calls with business data. Synchronise offices, mobile phones and home workers on to one simple, easy-to-use system. Opting for a Hosted Phone System also allows you to handle calls with a professional greeting, a range of options to direct callers to the correct department and a queuing system to handle high call volumes.
Introducing PhoneLine+ from Telecoms World – a simple and cost-effective replacement to the traditional telephone line. This replacement solution allows you to make and receive calls from any mobile, desktop soft-phone or traditional handset, giving you more flexibility and control.
The Telecoms World bespoke hosted software provides you with complete call control, making it easy to add and remove users and reallocate phone numbers as and when required. It’s quick and simple to transfer your existing phone number over to us saving you time and money without the need to update your marketing, signage or stationary. Alternatively, we can setup your PhoneLine+ account with a new local area number to suit your business requirements.
PhoneLine+ includes personalised Out of Hours Voicemail, Dialled Number Presentation and in-depth Call Analytics. Cloud-based telephony also opens businesses up to a vast number of additional capabilities including Call Recording, Interactive Voice Response, Conference Calls and more.
Obviously with the PSTN switch off looming, it’s important to know that your broadband connection is strong enough to maintain all aspects of your business operations. From 2025, the UK will switch to entirely data-based technology, primarily in the form of Single Order Generic Ethernet Access (SoGEA) and Fibre internet connectivity. A SoGEA broadband connection has the potential to reach speeds of up to 330mb.
Fibre Broadband can currently be connected in two ways. Fibre to the Premises or ‘FTTP’ delivers a complete fibre broadband connection directly to a site for increased speeds and reliable connection. FTTC (Fibre to the Cabinet) delivers a fibre connection to the green cabinets located on the street, with the copper network then connecting the cabinet to the premise. FTTP removes the need for the copper-based network, providing superfast and future-proof connectivity. Therefore, with the PSTN soon to be switched off, FTTC will cease to exist.
Business Broadband only shares bandwidth with other businesses. Connections are deployed with the highest speed to your premise, reliability is enhanced, and your data is carried over our business-only network, ensuring you're never competing for bandwidth with residential lines. It also offers high-level download/upload speeds with enhanced service level agreements (SLAs). Our team of connectivity experts help you find the perfect broadband connection for your location with full visibility of installations, provisioning and technical support – all from only £17.99 per month.
