The Able Care Group provide Quality Care for the Elderly in the South West counties of Cornwall and Devon. Established in 1984, the group oversees four care homes that deliver a high-quality lifestyle for its residents in a true homely environment, with the benefit of care assistance from their professionally trained and friendly staff. The Able Care Group's philosophy is to provide care based on each persons' needs. Care is delivered with patience, kindness, discretion and understanding.

The Challenge

Able Care Group required a fast and highly resilient internet connection to ensure that their systems are active at all times and to support their VoIP telephony system. Telecoms World provided Able Care Group with a dedicated Leased Line connection between their Care Homes and local BT exchange. Analysis of internet options and availability provided insight to a path with a low contention ratio at 1:1 and with an SLA (Service Level Agreement), meaning that should any issues arise, their dedicated line would be escalated and treated as a priority.


Able Care Group has seen that their fast, stable and hassle-free internet connection allows staff to concentrate on their residents without concerns of system connection failures. Their feature-rich VoIP Phone System, which runs over the Leased Line connection, is offering valuable additions to their business, including call recording, free on-net calls between care homes and valuable analytics from their calls.
